Somalia eTA is a semi‑automated system that determines the eligibility of visitors to travel to the Federal Republic of Somalia.

This website and application are operated by the Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA), under the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia. The processing and protection of your personal data are carried out pursuant to applicable laws and regulations of the Federal Republic of Somalia regarding data protection and privacy.

Information submitted by applicants through the Somalia eTA system is protected by privacy safeguards comparable to those in place for other traveller screening programs. Access to your information is limited to authorised personnel who require it to perform their duties and are recognised and approved by the Federal Government of Somalia. The Government has determined that processing your data for border security and public health is in the public interest.

By submitting an application for an eTA and clicking on the button below, you authorise the Immigration and Citizenship Agency, and other government bodies and service providers duly authorised by the Federal Republic of Somalia, to use your personal information for the purposes of determining your eligibility to travel to Somalia and to contact you before, during and/or after your trip in order to:

• request clarifications or additional information related to your application;
• send updates about your application status and related documents;
• share relevant information, where necessary, with Customs under the Ministry of Finance and Port Health under the Ministry of Health for border control and public health purposes;
• inform you of quarantine, isolation, testing or other public‑health measures;
• provide information on certified accommodation and travel advisories where applicable; and
• provide information about the Somalia eTA system and collect feedback regarding your experience.

If, while submitting your application, you use the Somalia eTA platform to make payments for services or offers provided by third parties, you authorise the Government of Somalia and its agents to transmit your personal information, as required to facilitate those services, to the relevant third‑party providers.

If you submit an application or purchase services on behalf of your child or another person, you confirm that you have obtained valid consent to authorise the Government of Somalia and its agents to use the personal information of that person as described above, and that you have informed them how their data will be used.
